SEMCCA inaugurates Delta Executives

Delta State Governor, Sen. Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, has stated that the State government is ready to partner with genuine NGOs to eradicate poverty.
Governor Okowa who was represented by Chika Ossai, Commissioner forTrade and Investment, during the inauguration of the state chapter of SEMCCA at Ughelli, Delta held that government has over the years carried out various kinds of empowerment programmes that will better the lives of Deltans.
According to Okowa, “Government commitment towards the eradication of poverty of Deltans is without discrimination but many of the beneficiaries never utilized the opportunity to better their lives rather they would sell their starters Pack for quick money”.
Ossai however urged SEMCCA National and State executives to ensure that a proper monitoring team is set up to monitor the disbursement of funds from SEMCCA in order to achieve result.
The National Chairman of SEMCCA, Engr. Theophilus Enebechi stated this during the inauguration of the Delta State Executives of Social Exchange Certified Chairmen Association to enable the organization achieve its aims and objectives of eradicating poverty at the State and Local government level.
While inaugurating the Delta state executives of SEMCCA, Engr. Enebechi said that, “SEMCCA as a body is God’s own project. We are here to empower people to turn the life of the people around.
“Your inauguration as SEMCCA state executives is to aid SEMCCA national body in the disbursement of funds from SEMCCA to our people in alleviating their pains and in ensuring that Deltans benefits from this international grants.”
In his acceptance speech, the Delta state newly inaugurated Chairman of SEMCCA, Comrade Efe Agarry vowed to work in synergy with SEMCCA national executives to ensure a smooth disbursement of the international grants to Deltans in both State and Local government levels.
“Social Exchange Market is an international monetary organization commited towards eradicating poverty from Nigeria through the Social Exchange Market disbursement funds.
“This will assist in creating industries and reviving old ones thereby reducing unemployment among youths in the state and Nigeria at large”.
He averred that Delta State executives of SEMCCA have decided to sacrifice their time, energy and resources to see that this course started years ago ends in praise.
Also speaking, the National patron of SEMCCA, Rev Collins Ogochukwu said, “Our people in SEMCCA should have patience but I have hope that the vision will speak this year and not next year.
“SEMCCA is going through a little process and that process is to ensure that no person is left behind and there is nothing hidden in it. And as I am here talking to you, disbursement arrangement is going on and I assure you all that you all will get your grants before the year ends.”
Ogochukwu warned State Chairmen and local government coordinators to always disburse the grants to the beneficiaries whenever the grants are available. He insisted that SEMCCA is owned by God and what God owns, no man can hijack it.
